Privacy

This describes what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. It is written to be read rather than to be technically survivable.

Who this covers

This policy applies to Infinite Software Solutions, operating from Ontario, Canada, and to the websites and services it operates. Client project data handled under a services agreement is governed by that agreement, not by this page.

Questions about anything here go to hello@infinite.dev.

What we collect

From the contact form: your name, your email address, your company, your role, the service areas you tick, and whatever you choose to write in the message field. We also record when it arrived and which page it was sent from. Nothing on this site asks for information a first conversation does not need.

From ordinary web serving: request logs containing IP address, user agent and requested path, retained for 30 days and then discarded.

No analytics. This site runs no analytics product, sets no tracking cookies and embeds no third-party pixels, so there is no opt-out to offer and nothing to consent to.

Why we hold it

To answer you, to carry out a contract you are party to, and to meet record-keeping obligations. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

Our lawful basis under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act is your consent, given when you send us a message, together with the legitimate requirements of performing a contract you have entered into.

Where it is held

Two sub-processors, named rather than described. This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Enquiries sent through the contact form are stored in Notion, operated by Notion Labs Inc. Both are United States companies and your enquiry is held on their infrastructure, which means it leaves Canada. If that matters to you, email us instead of using the form and it stays in our mailbox.

Data residency for client project work is a different question with a different answer. It is set per engagement and written into the contract, and we build and hold client infrastructure in the country the client requires — this page governs enquiries to us, not the systems we run for you.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted after 24 months. Records attached to a contract are kept for six years from the end of the tax year they relate to, which is what Canada Revenue Agency record-keeping rules require of us.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@infinite.dev and you will get a response within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Start a conversation

Tell us what you are trying to ship.

You will get a reply from an engineer, not a form handler. If we are not the right firm for it, we will say so and tell you who is.
